I create live, hand-drawn sketches during your celebration, capturing the joy, the quiet glances, the laughter, and the love as it unfolds. Each piece is drawn on the spot, right where the moment is happening, turning your day into art you can hold onto forever.

About me
Hi, I'm Sveta. I'm a Portrait Artist based in Nottingham, UK.
I’ve always been drawn to capturing people and their personalities. Back in school, I would sketch funny caricatures of my classmates and teachers. Later, I discovered the magic of oil paint and began doing portraits of my friends and family, asking them to sit for me. They weren’t always technically perfect, but I loved trying to capture their uniqueness and the beauty I saw in each of them.
As much as I enjoyed creating art, I’ve always been active and sociable - and being an artist can be surprisingly lonely. So I started taking my sketchbook and watercolours out into the world: to parks, cafés, and meet-ups with friends. That’s where I found the perfect balance. I love to observe and capture life as it unfolds around me. A pair of friends chatting in a cosy café, a joyful family playing with their children, a couple on a glowing first date, lost in their own world.
I've realised that what I love most is capturing beautiful, heartfelt moments, and weddings are the perfect place for that: a day overflowing with warmth, connection and love. A place that makes me want to pick up my brush and begin sketching!
My style is romantic and flowing, with loose, expressive lines and gentle pastel tones. I love creating sketches that feel light and effortless, capturing not just how a moment looks, but how it feels.

FAQs
How does live painting work?
I will ask your guests if they would like to pose and take their photos, then they carry on enjoying your day, while I will be busy painting. The finished paintings will be displayed like a pop-up gallery, and guests can take them home as favours when they leave.
How long does each painting take?
It takes about 10-15 minutes per painting and your guests don't need to stand waiting, as I paint from a photograph taken of them.
Do you travel?
Yes, I can travel for weddings, I am based in Nottingham, so please get in touch to discuss the details.
